I drilled the hole so it was perfect size, forced the fitting to thread itself in, the secured it with the 'nut' that comes off of a BX-style electrical connector. The threads were the exact same size and it works perfect. I Think I might have threw a little bit of blue silicon around the edges just for good measure... but leaks are non exisitant.

This is how I was going to do it before I bought the Stealthmode oil line kit.

It's a good website with a lot of info on how to do this step by step. He used a 1/2 inch adapter. I would not go smaller than this.

IMO, this fitting is too small:
You might want to use a larger diameter for the nipple part.
