I NEED HELP
i installed my IHI turbo kit on my SOHC ZC crx and it ran like ----. i thought it was the ignition timing so i rotated the distributor, got it all timed up and it still ran shitty. then i thought it may have been my buddy`s tune that i was using so i got a different map from a different friend whos car runs excellent. when i plugged the ECU back in with the new tune , the car still ran like ----... really lumpy idle,and check engine light flashing a code 9 for crank angle sensor. i took out the DSM injectors n the plastic cap on the tip of the injector was broken on the # 2 cylinder . so ive now taken the entire kit off to see if it would run NA. so i put a spare stock ECU in and stock injectors. the car runs so badly but there are no flash code coming from the ECU. i thought my timing was way off so i got a new timing belt and replaced it and timed it up properly . it still runs like ----. it basically wont even start. it cranks over and dies. sometimes it will run for a couple seconds and shake the whole car. i dont know what it could possibly be thats causing it to idle liek crap . the engine ran perfect before i installed the kit. hopefully someone can help me out...

did you change your plug wires or take any of them off? make sure they are on right.

i never even got the chance to drive the car yet... this is all happened just idling in my garage. i got it to run.... the wires for the injector of the #4 cylinder were frayed pretty bad and the 2 wires were touching each other just behind the injector clip. i fixed them and the car started and idled.. but the idle is still uneven .. im thinking maybe its something that has to do with my sparkplugs and wires. im not thowing anymore codes but im still not really sure where the rought idle is coming from .. im gonna check the plugs,wires andfor vaccum leaks..
In regards to the wideband.. i dont have one.. but my friend does and im now using his tune .. he burned it onto my chip for me... he`s running the exact same setup..

yeah im pretty sure that my timing is good. ive done a couple timing belts before so i dont see why i wouldnt have done it right this time..i was gonna pull the timing belt anyways tonight and do the timing it again to make sure its right. ill check the distributor wires and sparkplugs first.... i just want to get the idle good so i can put the turbo kit back on now that i know that the kit has nothing to do with the problems i was having.

i got my car running good. it was the wiring to the # 4 cylinder injector. the wires right at the injector clip were frayed and were touching each other.. that was shorting out the system or something. so i cut and repaired the wires adn covered them with heatshrink so the didnt touch and the car fired right up .. it was a little rough so i checked the ignition timing and plugwires and replaced a plug and it ran smooth... im really happy with it now. i took the car for a drive and everything seems to be working .. its pretty fast..thanks everyone for the help and suggestions.. ill be posting pics and stuff soon
