My BOV outlet is held on with PVC cement and works fine. JB Weld can only be ten times stronger.

djnikko, I think you want something called a bulkhead fitting that allows you to clamp the pipe through the hole in the oil pan. I'd use some loctite on the threads to keep it from coming apart in your oil pan, and I don't know how well the rubber gaskets that come with some of them would hold up to oil, which is where JB Weld would kick some major ass.

by the way that website customcoach posted is well handy, i work on that trading estate ;D

I've done this on three oil pans thus far and no leaks yet (knock on wood!! hhahaha) But yah, on two of them, I used a 1/2 inch npt fitting that I threaded into the oil pan and then just took a stream of jb weld and layered it around the outside and inside of where the piece went through. It's pretty damn good for that.

Re:i jb welded my bov on charge pipe

In my old 5.0 mustang I had, I bought it knowing it had a blow head gasket. Turns out that the 1 and 2 cylinders were shooting flames at each other. It "flam cut" the block and head between the 1&2 cylinders, about 3mm on both. So I put JB weld on the block and head, and let it harden for about a day and a half, then new gasket and reassimbled it.

Guess what !!!

It didn't work and the gaskets got screwed up and water mixed in the oil. Spun a bearing 2 days later...

$500, 50K mile motor and ran like a MOFO !! That motor blowing up was the best thing to ever happen to that car !!

Then it broke 2 POS T-5 trannies.. Then I sold it..

I figure its time to break some $2000.00 AWD trannies now.

JB weld is good, but not that good ( like enough to fix combustion camber type stuff.. )..

Dont think it was intended for high temperature useage.

Anybody use Devcon epoxy before?

I prefer 3M window weld. I used it to attatch the side skirts on my last CRX, its currently holding on my B pillar moldings. Thats the plan for the custom end tanks
