Default I have 2 MAP sensor! WTF? Pics.

Hey guys, i was looking under the hood today and saw these 2 sensors, they are the same thing, different locations, which one is functional and which one isn't? Also where can i put the check valves? Pics would be nice for reference, thanks.
One sensor is located ner the fuel filter and the other on the top of the throttle body.

Its a D16Z6 engine with a P28 ecu.

I have a 94 Civic with a D16Z6 engine and it only has one MAP sensor that is located on the throttle body. Maybe someone did an engine swap and did not remove the sensor located on the firewall.

What are you using to avoid you're cel from going off? Do you have any check valves's?

Are you kidding me

Just unplug one and see if you get a CEL. Also there doesn't appear to be a vac line running to the one on the firewall.

That's what i thought! The one on the firewall has nothing plugged into it. If i was to add a vac line where would it go to?

Presently I am using a 3 Bar MAP sensor. In the past I used a Missing Link. You can start with 2 or 3 check valves and keep adding valves until the check engine light stops coming on.

FYI...I've boosted up to 15 PSI with the stock MAP sensor, and the light never came on during daily driving (I would beat on it once in a while).

Yeah... that one on the firewall is not functional... just curious, where do the wires go to on that one? I'm willing to bet they'll lead you nowhere. Someone did a good job on cleaning everything up

I'd hate to brag, but i was the one who did the swap! I'll have to trace the wires form the firewall map sensor and see where they lead to!

I have been doing some reading and if the stock map sensor can read up to 15 psi, how come it's giving me cel's? I'm not boosting that hi, i have a K03 turbo on a stock D16Z6, it's only putting out like 7 psi if that!
