Hey about your friends with the evo. who's 17. I'm almost certain he'll wreck it in the not to distant future.. not to jink's your friend or nothing it's that all these kids who I went to high school with their parents bought them Type-R's.. new Si's , 02' Celica GT-S's. and not one but all wrecked their cars being stupid and doing stupid things like taking a sharp turn at 60MPH in the rain and of course their parents bought them another car. One kid I knew was going on his 3rd Talon TSi ( wrecked the other 2 ). Alot of these young kids either don't know how to handle the power, don't relize that alot of these cars all of a sudden take off when boost kicks in, or can handle the AWD system when something bad happens or are just spoiled and know that if they wreck it their parents will just buy them a new one. All the tech.'s at my shop agreed that any of these buyers of the new STi if they're under a certain age Suburu should send them to driving school before taking delivery of the new car. 300HP and 300Trq is alot of some punk 16 year old who just got his license. My friend was telling me that when you buy the new BMW M5's that BMW send you to driving school in South or North Carolina before you are allowed to take the car because the M5 has 450HP and is RWD which = very easly can spin out. What do you guys think ?

I think that's the reasoning behind the TSi kid wrecking.

Its funny that I agree with you on the subject of giving kids powerful cars, but I bought/built a 13sec 5.0 when I was 17, and I street raced it every weekend ( and on the way to work if simething tired me ), and I've STILL yet to ever get in ANY kind of wreck.... Then Again, I respected the 5.0 b/c #1 I built and payed for it, and #2 I respected its power and didn't go screaming around 24/7 everywhere I went ( I drive faster in my civic now ), only time I went over the speed limit was if I was racing.
No Burn-outs
No "getting sideways"
No "top speed" runs
Just 0-100 in 13.6seconds and then hittin the breaks.

I did try out my "road racing" skill one time in a $30K mazda minata 10th ann. specail edition... I spun it 3 times from about 100mph, but stayed on the road, scary ----. I'll street race on the public roads, but corning was made to be taken to the track !!! ( my fault I spun the minata, I over corrected ).
Funny how rich kids tear stuff up 100X faster/stupider.
I don't know anyone that can aford a new EVO or STi, but the Neon is in the future of about 3 people I know ( plus me ).
