The gearing/rpm range of the d series motors like smaller slicks. I have found on the simple 13 sec hmt builds 20 inch slicks work well. Move up to 200+whp range 22-23 tires work well.

 

yea my 25's with 300hp were horrible at the track, crosssing the traps barely into 3rd :1. i need some 23's.

 

The gearing of the d transmission is not helping. Look at what the all motor cars run with 260+whp all 24.5 inch tires. I think bisi runs a 27 inch tire.

 

yea its a DX trans too, it still hard to launch without antilag with these things

 

More that 260 whp

That and a 5:1 FD in the CG tranny

 

WE will see how the cg transmission feels on boost that will be a first for me. last time I rode in a car with a cg trans was my buddies old carbed zc in 86 civic si with old web regrinds. It was fun. Not bad for what it was. I remember the old 3rd gen article I think katman wrote about how disappointed he was when he ran the jdm brown valve zc transmission vs the cg.



Im so damn impressed with bisi these days I think everyone is.

 

The all motor h's I have tuned that were making 260-300 whp we ran 24.5 tire. Gearing seemed to be dead on. Gsr transmission w/ itr fd and spool.

 

I need to improve my 60 ft´s, once I can get into the 1.65-1.70´s, I´ll be on the mid 11´s.

I´m crossing the line almost at 6000-6200 rpm´s on 4th gear.

if I turn up the boost about 5-7 psi I can be into the low 11´s
