dam you just killed my reason to upgrade my DSM intercooler to a font mount. Thanks for the info. I guess I should got for some type of extra cooling co2 or water.

ahhhh!!! what is this nonsense, intercoolers add lots of power, after i went from my wussy saab smic that was mounted in the front to a huge front mount i felt a HUGE difference, if you can actually feel a difference in an upgrade then its worth it. johnnyracecar.com, i got one from him for $250 shipped, and he sometimes does group deals with HMT.com

Different engine, different boost, and different IC..

I wan't getting PO'ed b/c anyone was dissagreeing with me ( that happens all the time ) I was just tired of seeing "Well, my friends 45psi race supra gained 50hp from going to a bigger IC"...

I bought 2 1G dsm ICs for my stealth TT b/c they are bigger than my stealths factory sidemonts, and the 2nd fastest stealth in the world uses factory ICs, not even the bigger DSM ones.

But I guess its all about my wallet, a FMIC would be better, just not worth the cost IMO... Then again I'm starting with a Starion IC in the first place...

im only running 7PSI and bigger ic made a difference in the summertime, and i have a T-3 on a b16a2(99 si) and everyone said that t-3's run so much hot air for my car and i got a big ic and its just awesome pull all the way up to 8000 RPM, but the only way to tell is to try, and big front mounts look cool.

Sorry to jump right into the fray, but it was never stated about the location(s) of said ic's, and the fact that the amount of piping and bends has some play into whether or not an increase is seen. If you can run a shorter set of pipes to the most efficient ic, then you are also reducing lag that might be created.....not to mention increasing the cfm's possible. I am currently contemplating moving my currenc ic just for that reason.... too long of a pipe system.

Hehe, off topic but my IC pipe from my turbo to my starion IC is about 6inches total !!! Yes it took a little hacking, but that's OK, its an ugly 89' civic.

99TurboSi if I remember right you are running a .42 compressor housing right ??

High flow motor with low flow turbo = Ic needs to be better. Like a .60/.63 60-trim wouldn't need to have a really great IC as much as a .42/.48 would, b/c the .42 is heating the air a lot more.
