Default How Much boost??

I have a 99 civic si B16A2 (High Comppression) with a T3 turbo .42/.48, greddy intercooler pipeping with FMIC, for fuel management I have Vortech 12:1 FMU, Walbro 255 lph pump, exhaust consist of all stock except straight thru muffler and no cat (TEST PIPE), and 300 hp clutch.

Im currently running 5 psi with no change in timing on 93 octane gas, the car runs perfectly with no pinging what so ever all the way up to 8000 rpm. How much more boost can I run on 94 octane gas with my timing retarted to 12 degrees BTDC.

Under the dash on the passenger side there is a connector with green/blue tape around it. It has two wires connected to it. It should be directly above the ecu. It might be wrapped up with some other wires if it has never been used. I know there is a link somewhere, but I can't find it.

so do i put a paper clip in it and then retard the timing, i have the book for my car that shows how to do pretty much everything but its not specific about retarding the timing

Yeah, the manaul pretty much sucks as far as timing goes. Just stick the paper clip in it with the ignition off and set the timing. When you are done, turn the ignition off and remove the paper clip.

As far as the boost issue goes, like alwaystootall said, I wouldn't go past 8psi. Your motor has a bit higher compression which doesn't help and you have one of the worst fuel management systems available so I would say 8psi is max. If you are really brave and don't care if the motor blows crank it up to 10psi and see what happens.

even if u had a form of spark timing i wouldnt go past 8 psi just because its hard on ur injectors, and ur fuel system for that madder,it makes ur fuel injectors run hotter, they are more klikely to leak, and surprizingly at 35 psi ur fuel pump is good for 400 crank horse, increase that pressure like with a fmu and it is only good for about 200 oh and if the fuel pressure is to high u can rupsure the diaphragm in the fpr but its usually rated at 100 psi tho

if you stay under o.15BAR you wont have to fight with the map sensor, the best is if you get forged insides
