Re:How Much Boost?
The hack sounds so damn technical to me. What about the Vortech FMU?

Re:How Much Boost?
Don't turbo yourself until you've got all this down, the hack really isn't that complicated.
If you ---- up fuel management like I did, you'll need a new engine faster then a nerd pops a woody. |
Re:How Much Boost?
true, once u learn the afc its a piece of cake and after its set you really dont have to mess with it. plus the dispaly is sexy

Re:How Much Boost?
Yeah, I too was going to use just an FMu for fuel management, but I said what the hell, if I'm spending all this time and money to turbo my car safely, I might as well get a fuel management that's a little more reliable than an FMU. I chose to go with the SMC and 450 injectors, and it's easy as ---- to instal and tune. :)

Re:How Much Boost?
Would a T25 be too big for my motor?
|
Re:How Much Boost?
t25 would be way to small...
You need a pretty large turbo for a GSR.. |
Re:How Much Boost?
I have a choice between a Garret T3/T4 hybrid and a T25. Out of the two choices the hybrid would be a better bet, right? The reason I ask is because the T25 is a complete setup with everything I need to throw it on for like $1500. That sounded like a good deal to me.

Re:How Much Boost?
ya that T-25 at 6500 rpms on a GSR will blow ass, dont even mess with it. Go with the T3/T4 its the better turbo and you will be happier.

Re:How Much Boost?
Thanks again. I heard the T25 starts early and stops too soon. But the hybrid starts later (which will help with that pesky non-hooking up issue) and continues to pull until 10,000 or so (right?).
