I assume you wanna use an FMU cause' its ------- cheap right?
Dont let the guys scare you away. An AFC hack is better, but FMU's do their job. I boosted my a6 to 7psi for two hard years with an fmu (despite my best efforts, it held together and ran very well. Their is some limited tuning to be had if it has an adjustable rate of rise also.
If I were to do a low budget system again Id use Ghettodyne.

yeah the fmu is way cheaper then afc and less work to do and if i wanted to boost more i have to build up the bottom end anyway right now i don't have the money for that so i guess fmu is the way to go with upgrade fuel pump is good also ? with fuel pump and fmu maybe run 7 - 8 psi easy ?

7-8 psi would be perfect for an FMU and pump.
