how do you tell the difference between say a t3 and a t25 turbo and what turbos do you typically find on Saab's and Volvo's?

 

most of the time the t25 is alot smaller. it also has a different flange on it. the t3 is "usually" bigger and has a rectangular exhaust flange.. i believe T3 are use on most saabs and volvos

btw: where did you get the s/n from

 

lol the screen name is something that one of my friends called me one day and i thought it was funny and when i go to a junkyard what are some thigns i should look for on the turbo as far a quality and condition goes... and which would be better outa a t3 and t25 for about 8 psi

 

read the faq's before you get it bad. plus your name is skin flute, do you know what that is? but look for shaft play, ha ha shaft play and your name is skin flute, fins rubbing the compresser housing, excessive amounts of oil in the charge piping, etc.

 

yea make sure tere is little to no shaft play and junk..start reading alot before you get flamed, people on forums like these like to flame all the noobs for not knowing ----. search and read before posting

btw i was asking about the name because a friend of ours started calling skinnye...skinflute a couple weeks ago

 

meh i read the faqs didn't help that much and if people get a kick outa talkin ---- on the internet then i guess more power to um. and ya i'm well aware of what a skinflute is... lol its pretty self explanitory.. but thanx for all the replies guys

 

i would take the saab one if you have a choice. the specs on the typical t3s for both are the same. most volvos have an inset circle in the flange pattern which can leak with t3 flanges.
