well as my title states i woul like to know how you can tell by the spring when the wastegate is set to whatever psi. i have 2 ssautcrhome 35mm ones, i really apreciate if anyone is able to help me out since im not to confident about runing the car now that i think i saw the boost gauge going more than 8 psi last night.

well if it didnt stop at 8 then i think his next spring is 12psi or so. if it were a tial you could take it apart and check the color of the spring but i wouldnt reccomend taking the ssauto one apart.

sounds like boost spike. you can replace the spring with a real tial spring if you wish. they arent that hard to take apart. just make sure that you dont pinch the diaphram when putting it back together, and tighten the allen bolt evenly in a star pattern . if youre carefull, youll be fine.
