Default How Do I Get The Compressor Wheel Off??

title WAS Got my REbuild kit!! HELP now How Do I Get The Compressor Wheel Off??


i just got my rebuild kit i took apart the turbine and exhaust side and ready to begin BUT i want to do this ---- right the first time, so anyone know a site where theres instuctions? pics would be awsome thanks

just take everything apart and place it in order of removal so you can assemble it back in that order, replacing the worn parts.

Mark everything so that it lines back up after reassembly or else you will have to have it balanced.

Check the compressor shaft for discoloration where the bearings messed it up. use fine steel wool to clean it off.

I have no specs but that is about all there is to it.

ok, im having a problem removing the teh turbine side from the center, i took out all the bolts but cant get it off

Get a rubber mallet and beat around it. That's how we did it. Remember to put anti-seize on it when putting it back together. The anti-sieze prevents from that happening at high temps.

Wait are you talking about the compressor side or the exhaust side? Compressor side should come apart fairly easy. The hot side is the pain.

im talking about the COLD side, ,the exhaust side came out really easy... you know that big C ring that is between the center and compressor side? how they hell do i get it out?
