Get a good pair, the need to be stong. But FYI all I used was a pair of Needle Nose pleirs taken to the grinder to make the tip a little more pointy. It is a bitch and make sure to note about the placement peg on the housing, I didn't notice and crack my center cartrage, I shows it on that info site
the ------- snap ring pliers i just got broke!! damn metal handel snaped! and it was the most expiensive one they had..... i got the ring pretty close to each other now, i can move one side for like 2 sec then it slips so how do i get it off?
do you have an industrial supply store around you? I went there and told them i needed the strongest heavy duty snap ring pliers they had. Got some wierd branded pliers, but holy hell do they work good. They should have removable tips in them so that you can put it some L shaped ones to grip it better.
ya weill i FINALLY got it off at like 1
0am
but now i have another ------- problem! you know the 3 little bolts on the thrust barring thing is? well all 3 of them are completly stipped
i got a bolt extractior bit, but it doesnt even pierce the bolt...any suggestions on how to get them out? besides cutting a line thu it for a flathead screwdriver

get a bolt extractor socket. works with an impact. either that or just bring the turbo to a mechanic, he should have those sockets. thats about the only way to get a stripped bolt out. I have had to try this crap before and just finally gave in and purchased a set of them for about 200$ and now I never have any problems with stripped bolts.
good luck
good luck
