how can i mount the wrx td04 turbo. i need some help understanding.
i am about to buy a 94 ex. if it is a nice car when i go drive it. but anyways i have a stock 04 dp off a wrx and could i use it? but i rember the wrx turbo has like a triangle inlet for the turbo what manifold can i mount that on? i would like to mount it on a std manifold. can anyone put up some pics. i just need help on understanding how it would mount. thanks
I have no idea what anything looks like, but I am sure you could make some kind of adapter plate. Maybe take a WRX manifold and hack the flange off and weld it to your turbo manifold?
it can be done and has (love that turbo!). check out www.uniquemotorsports.com for the turbine inlet and outlet flanges. get another piece of steel plate and weld the inlet flange to that to make your adapterplate. check out my webpage for pics.
don't waste your time with the stock downpipe unless you have someone that welds good.
good luck.

what would i need to make the turbo work. i am kinda confused. like what would i need to mount it? the stock subaru flange and then weld it on some metal to the turbo? i need some help lol.
here's an example of my adapterplate:

1/4 inch x 4 1/2 inch x 4 1/2 inch steel plate welded to inlet flange from www.uniquemotorsports.com with threaded studs and inlet gasket.
adapterplate mounted to turbo:

you can see the studs and std/hf manifold gasket.
