Doesnt make it one of the good ones (in fact probably is one of the earlier crappy ones; based on there reputation). There are very few DSM parts that are good. And not much of it is interchangable. For example, we were switching out parts on my friends 90 GSX trying to figure out a drivetrain issue. We bolted up a 91 t-case, no problem. Hooked everything up and took it for a drive. Same problem and a new one; we had a tick coming from the rear end whenever the car was under power. Or so we thought. So we switched out rear ends for a known good LSD rear end. Mistake. There was a whine from that rear end; took it home. My dumbass friend forgot to fill the rear end or even check it for that matter (it was his car). Fill it up and take it for a drive, same noise but quieter now. We're stumped. I crawl under the car on jack stands and start spinning the driveshaft by hand. Its notchy as we spin it. Figuring the rear end is fucked from running without fluid, we switch it back to the one that came on the car. Take it for a drive, same ticking. I crawl back under the car and spin the driveshaft again. WTF? Its still notchy. Anyways, long story short. We drop the center diff. Turns out the input shaft is, I ---- you not, ~1mm smaller but same spline count as the output on the transmission. Also after some research, I found out the LSD rear end was off an automatic, which you guessed it, have a different ratio than the manuals. How gay.

Anyways thats not the only hell I've had with mitsubitchi's, just one instance. Also, a GVR4 is no where near what a 3000gt is. 3200lbs according to edmunds, which puts it right in eclipse territory.

Ok, I personally am a turbo honda guy ... '95 LS-T ... but he is a Mitsu lover and currently drives an NA FWD 3000gt daily. Too big of a car for me but he likes em, and his NA FWD is faster than I expected ... he regularly takes ricers and on HWY could pull away from my stock '01 GSR.

He is getting the car cheap as it needs a clutch so it will get a beefier unit upon arrival. The car does have a new motor I am told.

With a claimed 320hp stock it doesn't seem like ~550 or so would be such a strech ....

I searched the Stealth/3000GT forums and you're definately right, this platform is painfully under developed. UD ??? as in wire up a honda ECU to run the motor? Thought about that but seems like a different distributer set up... and can't run a honda dist as I need 6 plug wires ;D thoughts on possible way to make this work ????
WTF? ??? am I in the wrong forum ? I thought HMT was all about big horse power with small budget ?

Seriously, there has to be a turbo in production thats close enough to the right size for a potent single turbo conversion without the $1k+ price tag of the super ballin Supra crowd.

I am lookin for help, not haters .... I can find a DSM hater anywhere ...

ur not gonna make 600 horse out of a stealth on the cheap. twin walbros, upped line, big injectors, and a GOOD stand alone at the minimum. boss's stealth is makin 780 w/ a built ass motor, AEM, fuel system described above, lots of head work/valve train work, custom intake mani, custom IC pipes, huge twin sidemounts, and a 50 shot

Ok well we want to shoot for 600 and settle for .... what ever it makes when its done ... which I would expect to be substantially more than the 320 stock # ... a 200hp gain would be acceptable ...

So, twin walbros ... inlines?

800-1000cc injectors ... anyway to get something like that from an existing vehicle? Rather than RC$$$$$? Cutom IM with 12 injectors maybe??? Other ideas?

Whats comparable to AEM ?? MegaSquirt ??

Nope, don't have money like that. But the good news is we don't expect 9s ... 11s would be nice though ...

Anybody know how we can get bigger injectors into this car other than just buying aftermarket ones?
