Honda Fuel Pump Stats...
Anyone know where i can find stats for what stock honda fuel pumps flow at?
i'm sure for a d-series turbo i can find a GSR pump brand new for cheaper than a walbro or something...
just wanna compare...
any help would be sick.

I think I read somewhere along time ago, that the GSR pump only flows 15% more than the stock pumps. So it really isnt worth it. I think they are rated a bit less than Mustang pumps which are rated around 120lph. When you can get a Walbro/Holley intake pump for 150 that flows 255lph.

not to excited about the extra doller figures, but whatevs...
i guess it's something i can hold out on for a bit...
i just bought my S-AFC (for 500 canadian), and i picked some eclipse 450cc injectors...just gotta go grab a resistor box (or individual resistors), and a boost contoller...

that's what i'm thinkin.
but i'd rather run rich than lean...
i dunno...i'd be ok with the stock fuel pump...but i just figured that if i had something better, i wouldn't have to worrie about running lean...
but with the AFC, i can control the amount of fuel needed...so technically, if i tune it properlly, it won't run rich...

all you have to do is get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator because when you get the bigger pump the pressure will go up. that will cause you to run rich. just lower the psi back down to stock and your all set.

more fuel goes through the injectors because the fuel pressure will go up. you lower the pressure back down to stock to get the same flow as stock.
basically your stock pump and fpr are set up to run say 40 psi. you put in a bigger pump that flows more the pressure will go up to say 50 psi with the regulator set the same way and more fuel will go through the injectors. (the injectors regardless of fuel pressure are open for a certain amount of time, the amount of fuel that goes through the injectors is determined by the pressure the pump is putting out) to counteract this you lower the pressure the fpr is set at to get it back to stock fuel pressure.
how big of a pump you put in determines what pressure reg you need. my b&m might have a hard time lowering the pressure enough on a 255lph pump to go lower the FP back to a stock setting. a better reg like aeromotive or aem has a larger window of adjustment.
right now with my b&m and a stock pump i can adjust from 20 psi-60+. if i put in a bigger pump i might only be able to adjust 40psi+

Personally, I sort of follow what you're syaing, but here is my question:
If you bring your fuel pressure back to stock specs based on the lowering the higher pressure created by your new pump with an adjustable fpr, why raise it in the first place?
