Honda Accord F23 turbo motor: Alive or No?
2000 F23A4 ULEV Accord Motor ready for 7psi Boost? Can I start installing my kit?
My kit only lacks professional engine management. It only has an FMU.
I can not seem to find any successful boosting for this generation motor.
I already have a full custom T3 turbo kit ready to install, but honestly I am scared in regards to a blown motor.
This is because it is very hard for me to find a successful boost and long term owner for my model in online forums. They either all blew their motors OR it is just rare for this car to be boosted.
Why is this car rarely boosted?
Why can't I find anyone with a reliable and boosted F23?
Installing my kit: Is it a setup for disaster?
Thanks

Look in the tuner directory sticky at the top of the page in the engine management forum. Find a tuner in your area and give them a call . The tuner will be able to set you up with a chipped ecu and a reliable tune.
you dont see anyone boosting this engine becuase of the following:
1. most accord drivers are old *** retired women
2. accords are slow and no one cares
3. people are stupid and dont know the potential stock F motors have
4. hotrex has herpes
convert to obd1, use crome. end of story.

If I was to take an honest guess:
Guy is given or forced to buy an accord. Guy sees that H22's slip in there, and are cheap when compaired to b18's; end of f-series tinkering. If they don't swap, they try boost for the 1st time, and screw up due to inexperience and because they care little about a $100 f-series block.
If you dig, theres lots of f22s with good boost. Being a 2000, you might have an issue converting to the defacto standard obd1 civic ecu, but chances not. As long as you don't run insane timing or too much boost w/o arp head studs, it should work. The main f-series that sees sucessful boost seems to be the f22b1, usually 250whp stock block. Its in a decent accord, cheap, and comes in obd1 flavors.
FYI for that motor I'd say a 60 trim T3 .48ar stg1 is the smallest you'd want. A t3/t04e 50 trim, .63ar stg3 would be a great choice too.
