whats up hmt. got a few questions about some snails.

i have a t3 (.42/.4 that i bought for my setup on a d16z6. its small and i want bigger. i also have a garret airresearch t04 (.60 ar) with a good compressor and wheel. can i combine the t4 compressor with the t3 exhaust and t3 center section? is it as simple as unbolting housing and wheel and bolting it to the t3?

also i have a homemade turbo manifold. sch 40. the middle runners are questionable because i was real stoned and it didnt come out as expected. it has straight 90 deg as you can see. i built up the runners and i am currently rounding them out will i have any problems with this?

 

wouldnt it be easier to put the t3 exhaust housing and turbine wheel on the t4 turbo? maybe not just thinking, that mani looks sweet for a homemade gig.

 

im pretty sure you can bolt the backing plate and the t4 compressor housing and wheel on, but it will need to be balanced afterward anyway. So you should just send your ---- to blaast and have them do it. You'll be gaurenteed it will be done right, and its not very expensive at all.

as far as the mani, you definately gotta get those middle runners round. Other than that, its pretty sweet for a homemade job. Did you make your collector with a chop saw?

 

i could put the exhaust on the t4, it actually has no shaft play, less than the t3. manifold was made with chop saw, need to find a bigger tungsten carbide bit for the dremel. how much is it to be balanced and ----?

 

i checked out the blaast webiste and its almost too good to be true. a local turbo shop told me $400 for a rebuild. ree dick you luss.

 

#2 and #3 need to have a smooth turn, not a 90º wtf bend. Looks good though.

 

I just had Blaast rebuild mine and I bought that same exact compressor set-up and bolted it to my Volvo center section with turbine side too. Instant T3/T04B.

He's got a good reputation. Same deal here - a basic rebuild is around $360. That's all 95% labor, about $30 in parts.
I'm sending a t3 to him for checkout.

anyone kow what trim the turbo would be? 54 or 50?
