homemade manifold might be warped, what should I do??
ok, I made my oown manifold, looks great and fits great, but I went to do my final install of it tonight and the passenger side bottom bold doesn't tighten down tight enough. It ahs like less than a 1/16th of an inch to tighten (one full turn of the bolt) what can I do about this? I've checked to see if the turbo is hitting on anything, but everything looks great. Do you think that if I double gasket it, it would maybe work?

looks like it warped when you heated it up (welding it) you should just take it to a machine shop and have them fix it. simple and youwont have to worry about it leaking all the time.

Re:homemade manifold might be warped, what should I do??
Whatever it costs, its probably worth it. The first turbo Corolla had a warped flange and I ran it like that, sounded like ----, black soot all over the engine bay... Get it resurfaced and you'll be happy with it!

i'm gonna have to get it resurfaced, it took me a lot of hrs making it and about $75.

Re:homemade manifold might be warped, what should I do??
I'm going to do the same with mine. Hackish on this board made mine and the drivers side is off a fraction of a mm. So we are going to get it machined as well. The flange we used is pretty thick, so machining a fraction of a mm would be fine.
