That's what he is trying to say. A 16lb. cap will release pressure at 16psi(DUH). I don't know how low you can go with a radiator cap though and if you're going to be running anything near 16psi, you should just spend the extra money for a real BOV.

Geez you guys it's waaay simpler than that. Just get a good old peice of brand new masking tape stick it on a hole in the intake and wala u get too much pressure it comes off. It's great for drag racing if you have an automatic and don't do a burnout off the start.

for anyone who thinks im stupid for wanting to know how to make one, i do have a real one on my car.im not just trying to be a cheap ***.i was just curious to see if there was any somewhat easy way to make one. on that radiator cap idea, anybody seen it done?sounds pretty ghetto though.

actually that's not going to work because your BOV works off of vacuum not boost. the radiator cap might work for like an accessory wastegate piece of crap or something, but it won't blow off any excess pressure.
