im about to get started on a homemade tubo kit for a 2nd gen integra (b18a1) and was wondering....since you guys are quiet experienced.....what turbo and manifold should i go for, i'm tryin to pull some high 12's with reliability. i know drag turbo kits can do it. but this is a home made place right???

need some suggestions

if you're going for the yunkyard turbo...get a big T3 from a thunderbird or get a K26.
If you wanna buy a turbo get a T3/T4 hybrid at a decent trim level.

What do you mean by "decent trim" level? What is decent in your eyes?

the t3 on a manual t-bird was pretty big i thikn it was .60/.63 ar. Dont get the one off an automatic it is smaller.

Oh and the tdo4 and tdo5 off of eclipses i think are big but i am not sure to5 was a stock option turbo.

tdo5 was stock cause i just got one for a talon the other day along with my 450's :)

well then there is your answer get a tdo5 those look nice and put out some real nice numbers like 550cfm and .60 something a/r. ;D

Well i soak up knowledge like a sponge and i love to research stuff. I knew a lot about turbos before i came here but now i know even tons more. I just need some hands on experience then i will maybe be of some more help to the boards. As for lackie i check this board way too often as i am usually always the person who has been logged on the longest. Thats what i get for going to a nerdy college where everything i done on a computer!! lol

but uf there is nothign worng with it then obviously it is a sweet deal. ask about shaft play and ask lots of questions.

so whats a decet turbo for a D series engine, i want to boost 5psi max with a custom manifold to keep my AC....... any recommendations?

recomendations would be a t-25 came of 2nd gen eclipse and talon. real easy to find j-yard parts for, fast spooling. or a 14b 1st gen eclipse turbo:spools almost as fast as t-25 but pulls harder at the redline. both o2 housings are the same and as well as inlet flange on both turbo's.

the guy i heard this from say that his bud purchased a warehouse and that he found a couple of crates in the corner with turbos in them, will get more info later
