I use a Holset Hy35 and i dont get full boost untill like 4500-5000. The huge Ext. side of the HX50 would suck balls esp on a LS that cant rev very high.

they're so big you need at least 4in exh - otherwise theres so much backpressure it'll pop the exh wheel right off the chra - seen it happen more than once with guys using modified mitsu housings -- that ---- just broke the shaft right at the wheel.

That turbo on eBay looks like complete ---- man.

Does the shaft even spin? Looks like it's been sitting at the bottom of a lake for 20 years.

Uh, no, the Mitsu's do that because they go into a knock feedback loop where either real or PK causes ignition timing to retard to the point exhaust valves become hotspots. Pre-ignition sets in, ECU continues to shithammer timing due to completely fucked up Mitsufeces design, and most of the thermal energy is blown out the exhaust port instead of being spent pushing the piston down. The excessive thermal load breaks turbine free of shaft. I've seen it happen to 20G, 16G, T04E stuffed in Mitsufeces housing, etc, it is a common ---- ---- piss DSM pile of ---- bad design issue.

There's no way you break off a big shaft Holset turbine shaft due to "backpressure." The most power the DSM guys were pushing out of a Holset was 500-525 whp circa last spring, that's nothing fancy for run of the mill 3" exhaust. Trust me it's in the TUNE, or complete lack thereof!
