Thanks. I didn't think they were set that high I guess I'll be running an external wastegate.

As of right now it looks like I'm only putting one on it. Definitely way smaller than I would want but I'm getting the turbo either for free or trading a nitrous bottle for it so I'm just going to throw it on. With the way I'm designing the headers its going to be very easy to upgrade to a twin when I find another. But it looks like it time to start molesting the Stang with turbo kit #1 of god knows how many.

Ya those diesel guys dont ---- around.Def would be going to external. You can get bigger housing here and I believe they carry non wastegate versions as well.Im a big fan of the Holset as it cant be beat for the dollar. If you come across any cheap HY35 or HX35's let me know as Im going to need one pretty quick.

Hopefully its not a bitch to block off the wastegate becuase I don't plan on upgrading this turbo. The first upgrade I'd do is buy another one and run twins

Or maybe I'll stop being a ----- and run the 17psi wastegate.

crappy solution IMO....extending the arm basically holds the flapper open at all times, and doesn't always work the way you want it to. Plus having it open like that is gonna cause some unnecessary lag.

Yup. I'd rather do it the right way. Plus any turbo worth getting you usually need an external gate so I might as well get one now.

You could always sell it and upgrade to an hx40 or h1e with a non wastgated housing..
