holset hx35 fittings - standard t3?

will the hx35 use standard t3 feed/drain fittings and flanges ? :7

Re: holset hx35 fittings - standard t3?

Drain flange is the same, inlet is a metric thread though. I got mine from Hahne, but a 14b might be the same.

I didn't.

Standard T3 drain, I think the feed is JIC/AN but I have no idea what adapter I'm running anymore. Bring it to a hydraulic shop and they can hook you up.

yeah its something like that. what i did was went to the hardware store and bought a brass 3/8'X1/8" reducer and taped it the the m12/1.5 then used the 1/8to -3an adaptor in the T3 kit.

I used a class 8.8 12x1.5 hex-head bolt... chucked it up in the lathe, drilled a hole down the center, drilled a bigger hole in the head, tapped to 1/8NPT, put an o-ring under the head of the bolt, and tightened it down. Doesn't leak. O0

Re: holset hx35 fittings - standard t3?

well i dont have fancy lathes or drill bits that can drill through a 8.8 bolt O0 so i just bought one for 15 shipped. problem is mine has like a 14mm hole for the oil inlet, or theres a fitting threaded in that was painted on

that's the stock fitting. it looks like a reverse flare type. It unscrews and there is another thread you can use. If you look at my build thread I lost that little fitting so I had no easy way of finding what thread the turbo was. So i tapped two holes on that flange, and drilled two matching holes in a scrap piece of aluminum, then I tapped that 1/8 npt and bolted it on with a touch of sealant. If I ever want to go back to the stock style, there is nothing preventing me from doing so.(I found my fitting too)

why did you do that ? isnt the 12cm housing like .89 a/r and the 14cm .97 a/r ?

this is what i found on one of the sites;
6 cm2 = 0.41 A/R
7 cm2 = 0.49 A/R
8 cm2 = 0.57 A/R
9 cm2 = 0.65 A/R
10 cm2 = 0.73 A/R
11 cm2 = 0.81 A/R
12 cm2 = 0.89 A/R
14 cm2 = 0.97 A/R
15 cm2 = 1.05 A/R
16 cm2 = 1.13 A/R
17 cm2 = 1.29 A/R
19 cm2 = 1.37 A/R
