Apparently he did. At least that's what I garnered from his post. It is doable if you're very careful and use a magnetized tap, but still questionable at best if you ask me. I could see bearing failure stemming from metal shavings.

Although I dont much about BMW's. They probally have some crazy setup that doesnt allow this?
Draw-thru is some tricky ----...I'm pretty sure you have to vent your bov to your inlet when you run that way...He may not be set up for that...I've thought about setting my car up draw-thru but I don't have a BOV that would really allow it...And to the OP this thing looks ruthless. Rebuild it and get some GOOD gas in her..

With all the turbo builds you've done I'm surprised it took you this long to buy a welder, the fab work is off to a good start.

Whats the plan for the car?

ya no ---- i wish i would have. i either have to pull the head off or just swap the motor out, which i can get at the junkyard for $500. might just be a burnt valve i was told by some "experts" it still runs and drives i was out raping it the other night, it just leaves a little smoke behind it i still think its a ring/ring land damage wierd part is ive been driving it and it doesnt seem to be consuming oil or coolant but it smokes, kind of alot at times

I like your manifold adapter. Reminds me of the one I made for my project but a lot prettier.

what are you using for engine management? not megasquirt?
ive been thinking about getting an m3 as my next car, prolly a 95. i didnt know of any cheap-style engine management. i also heard the bottom ends are all forged
