ok after driving and engine is fully warm.. then i cool down and turn it off like usual... i don't know if i just noticed it but when it's off, the engine will have once in a while "clicks" or "metal pop" sounds...

i don't know if i heard this before in N/A mode.... i remember for sure after you turn off the engine, there are some sounds like metal ticking or something what is it?? oil dripping or something? exahust

do you know what i'm taking about?? those tick tick tick or something like that metal sounds when you shut off engine.

 

metal expands when hot and it shrinks back to shape thats most likley what your hearingafter you turn off

 

Alot of cars do this, sounds normal.

 

pretty sure its the exhaust system metal. my car only does that in the winter time here, but when it does its pretty loud... sounds like "tack tack tack". its a normal thing... dont even trip about it unless you got other problems. you live somewhere cool/cold?

 

Never had it with my cars (no A/C).....
My mother's cars did and both had A/C
I think it might have to do with having an A/C

 

no its just exhaust parts

 

oh ok...I think my exhaust parts are so old that they don't expand and shrink anymore

 

exhaust eh?? hopefully... sound's like from the valve cover.... all these years just wondering....

 

most likely the heatshields that surround the exhaust.
