hello , been a member for quite some time, but this is my first post. i have a 1990 crx with a d16a6. and i was going to turbo the car. ive started to buy a few things for it. the first thing i bought was a hf manifold because i was going to use a t25.when the manifold came it looked great as it was media blasted recently, however i noticed there is a 2" crack on the bottom on one of the runners. is this repairable or am i screwed over and have to but another and better mani?

 

you can get somebody to weld it.
but I would just get a new one....they are like $25

 

 

i had someone braze mine, worked fine for 6months and its still going, on some kids crx somewhere not to far from me. it will last!

i had some guy put a fat *** weld on mine that probly did nothing. it held fine

 

weld it it should be fine or if you cant weld buy a new one it will probaly cost the same to have someone weld it or buy a new one

 

Just go grab another from your local junk yard. They are plentiful and cheap!

I wouldn't waste my time welding one up, unless I had a welder and knew what I was doing, but I don't have a welder so the junk yard would be the easier solution for me.

 

if you can weld, fix it. clean it good and bevel the crack a little bit, and fill her in.

 

Just but a new one.
