1.9 block with 2.0 8 valve head (low compresstion) @ 17psi 212whp/262wtq (1-7/8" Exhaust & 10:1 AFR).
(^Both with IHI Turbo and off the chart rich)
This current non-intercooled set up @ 5psi is probly making ~145whp/165wtq.
This car with A/C and P/S is 2300lbs, my other Escort is a base model with manual steering and no A/C is about 2150lbs.

I call it more of a cheap basterd getto style.
Any internal waste gate can be modified like that, Just disconnect the waste gate actuator rod from the flapper door and use a spring to hold the flapper shut. The harder the spring pressure, the higher the boost your gonna run.
Well, both of my Turbo Escorts are very stock looking, You cant see the intercooler on the other one. But I'm a little more north of Anoka.
