ok to begin with my setup is d16y8 with hf mani t3 turbo 42ar and 48ar. 2 1/2 inch exhaust all the way back. got it runnin last nite but i think its runnin real rich. it want boost past 5k rpm but i can gently give it gas and it will go past 5k but if i give it any more it will misfire also i can rev to about 5k then flip the key on then off and it will boost all the way to the redline but to do it again i have to flip the key. its not hte map sensor we already put a new one on. we are pretty sure its becuse is so rich. is there any other way to lean it out other than reburnin the chip becasue my freinds burner wont read a 512 or watever it is chip. do u think it could be the o2 sensor as it is in the hf's o2 bung have heard taht it isnt the best place for it?... any help appreciated

stock everything rite now. will be installing dsm's and a new walbro fuel pump in the near future but not till i get all the bugs worked out on this. also i converted to obd1 via chipped ecu do i need to rewire my tps. i know my friend had to when he converted to obd1 from obd0. so a im usure.

How are you running 190cc injectors on a 450 map? Something doesn't seem right. Plus the fact you will ruin your motor.

iv seen my plugs running rich as hell and my we crushed my stock fuel pressure reg. and got 10psi more out of it. i think that is one of the reasons as i didnt tell john when he made the base map. but does anyone know if i need to change the wiring on my tps since i did teh obd1 switch.
also who said anything about a 450 map.

well theres were my help ends, you have ------ riged your piece of ---- and will be luckey if you don't allready have broken ring lands, burnt chip for stock injectors and you THINK your map sensor is the problem ::)

ur car is running rich because u didnt tell the tuner ur running higher than stock fuel pressure

just get some god dam dsm 450's and a new regulator, new burnt base map from xenocron. Do a compression test first to check your pistons. You will be very happy with the results.

will it be point less to get everything in working order on a block that has bad rings or would that just make everything worse. the reason i ask is because my engine has 160 across the board when i did a comp. test. i already have a spare block but i want to refurbish the block (replace bearings,gaskets and such) the reason i want to do it this way is because i am broke for the most part and i just want to get the car running rite before i put the new block in. i understand that the car will not run at its besst but i would expect that but it should run have decent to ensure i dont blow my other block.
