Help me plz!
Hey i know this is like my 10000000th time to ask this question but now i finally got some money and am ready to start working on my turbo set up for my 98 gsr engine. I am wondering what i should do for engine management. I am on a budget "cant afford aem, zdyne, hondata" and in the future plan to add nos. i am wonting to boost 10-12 psi... what should i use i need good answers i just got my paycheck and am ebaying right now. should i get vafc, 450cc injectors, fuelpump, and a fmu or what should i get. i am also reading that people are having problems with the fuel pumps so what kind should i get

how dumb u think i am.... i already plan on doing je 9-1 comp pistons and eagle rods.... dont give me lots of crud plz dude i am not stupid just an inteligent answer would be nice.... i have been doing lots of research on this turboing stuff and have sufferd the conciqences "hent hent pos d16z6 blew with only 8 psi"
Yeah I would plan on using the AFC hack with some 450's. That will supply you with plenty of fuel. FMU's are ok and would probably work for a while at 12 psi, but I wouldn't trust it, especially on that engine. Definately AFC is the better and more reliable choice.

do i need a fmu to supply more fuel also because i know the vafc can only take away fuel....

What the vafc does it take fuel away, macking the 450cc injectors more eficient for your aplication. The reason people use 450cc injectors is becouse they are cheap and reddiley available.Take in mind that the 450s with a vafc need to be leaned about 35-38%.That becouse like I said earlier, otherwise your car would bog and die.
If you wanted to do it the right way you would need some 310cc injectors but you still need to controll them at low rpm and idel so you would still need a vafc to lean them out at idle and at low rpm.But if you wanted to boost higher they would lean out.As for using the 450s you could just add fuel with the afc and still be ok.
So I hope you understand why you have to take away fuel with the 450cc injectors.450s and a V-AFC is the best way to go.To max out the 450s on your car you would have to be making about 400+hp.
So no FMU.Yes to 450s and V-AFC.
