Forced Induction Custom FI Setup Questions

help me figure this out

Default help me figure this out

i've been looking into putting a turbo on my street bike. its a 94 suzuki rf900r its pretty much like a gsxr. i've been doing alot of research on turboing and have found out alot. the problem im having is i dont exactly know what i have to do with the fuel managment since it is carbureted. i used the ghetto hmt google seach and found this -When blowing through a carburetor, a few things need to be addressed. First, the floats have to be resistant to boost pressure or they will collapse. Brad installed solid floats in the 750 Holley Double-Pumper to prevent this problem.-. that makes me nervous because i doubt that i can just buy replacement solid floats for my carbs and if i took them apat hacked them open and filled them with something and fuct them up i would be replacing 4 sets of floats, and that would change they way they float i would think, any ideas on that? also is there anythig else in the carb that needs to be changed to handle the boost? my main concern is getting the right a/f mixture i know i would need jets big enough to handle enough fuel for when the turbo is at full boost but then when its not spooled up (i'm thinking at least) it will be running real richand flooding my ---- with fuel. bikes are pretty high compression so i would only be running i was thinking like 6psi so maybe i wouldnt need such gianormous jets that it would become a problem? i did see something about the fuel pressure regulator. that adjusts fuel pressure in accordance with boost pressure? i guess that would help alot.

anything you guys can tell me would help me alot i cant really find anything else from google and you guys seem to know your ----. i was thinking about buying that corky bell book - maximum boost, would thatt help me out? how much is there about carbureted engines it it? its like $35 and i'm cheap so i was a little hesitant

i went out and bought maximum boost it had everyhting i needed in it. i told about the filling the floats, pressurizing the bowls, sealing the carbs, how to deal with fuel managment. i would say if you have anyquestions about turbo and are serious about building your own kit step one would be buying this book it covers everything

i wouldnt say i need no help but that book cleared up alot of questions.

pm the guy with the twinturbo trans-am.his name is turbobike. hes done 2 turboed bike setups and seems to know his ----.
Tough-guy has also done a turbo bike setup if i remember right.
