Default Help, K&N knockoff filter comparison, please help!!!!!

Ok I had an original K&N filter before and also currently have an authentic k&n breather as well... if you look closely at the cotton gauze material, it's kinda of a "cheesecloth" square pattern material.
Guys with the real K&N please look. You'll know what i mean.

Ok, i check out the replica's of K&N and even asked the sales guy if these are washable like K&N. he goes yes, but i look very close at the filter and i see the material is more of a "paper" like filter. no SQUARE cheesecloth material. it's just like many strains of fibre just pressed together.. something like you would find in regular coffee filters etc.

i look closely, doesn't seem to be oil on it either... i'm wondering to myself, wtf will happen if i spray the K&N cleaner on it? probably it'll do nothing.. it should turn white if cleaned, cuz the oil makes it red with the dye.

anyhow i have few questions:

1. so are these the washable K&N filters or wtf are they? they are present in stuff like simota, S&B, ractive etc.

2. How bad are these filters, do they flow less and filter less

3. Is this ---- filter going to hurt my turbo sucking in air?

thanks

Sorry man, guess it's a little late for some input, but I'll give it anyway. I have one of those Ractive filters and it seems fine. just as good if not better than the K&N in my opinion. It's actually the high flow version, so there isn't any cotton gauze in there at all. Just a few small layers of screen mesh. It should work well for my turbo setup, but it's on there for na right now.

I had a rip=off brand filter before, and now went to K&N. K&N's quality is far superior to their rip-off competitors. Will you stick a FRAM oil filter simply to save some cash? Also, K&N's filters have a lifetime warranty, or at least mine came with on, simply wash it out, spray on or squirt on their cleaner and oil and voila it's like new.
