Help! F'd up oil line install, need advice asap
Hi everyone, Im new here and could really use some quick advice...
While installing a friend's oil feed line for a new turbo setup, I screwed up big. We were using a stealth mode T fitting for the pressure sender and line, and while threading the fitting I over spun it and broke of the threaded portion into the port for the stock pressure sender. Terrible I know
... Please someone recomend the best method of extracting the broken portion. Any tool it takes, doesnt matter to me I'll buy it. Possibly one of those "easy out" tools? As you all know its right next to the filter under the intake manifold, hard spot to get to as well.
Thanks to anyone whos got any ideas for me

Get a easy out but not the cheep ones, get a twisted one or a splined one. mine are from snap-on so I dont know what you can buy uptown. Make sure you drill it out and use the biggest one that will fit in there without ------- up the threads. Good luck
Jesus, ya know they don't have to be so tight that they never come out.
go get an EZ out and be careful not to ---- the threads on the block up or you'll be buying even more tools, but that's not such a bad thing.
Good luck.

1/8 bspt is the thread size your looking at. Pretty much the same size as the 1/8 npt, just a little different on the threads.
And for future referance, some thread locker and a half a turn past hand tight will do the trick. (No, I didn't do some scientific study) :P

yeah mine did that the first time... all i did was find a phillups drill bit. which is about the 1/8th size..tapped it in where it broke off and used a cresent wrench and slowly turned it back out..the bit have ridges that fit perfect in that hole...just slightly tap it in tho or you will strech the threads...
Thanks again for the help everyone. The funny thing is that the damn fitting never tightened down to the point where I ever thought it would break. Seemed like it could keep threading easily when it broke off. O well you live and learn...
