Default help choosing turbo - please...

ok my a.d.d. is kickin in hard, i been reading many hours and days on and off, and i read the "choosing the turbo for you car" thread and felt stupid, my questions:

considering i got about 100-250ish to spend on a turbo (less or more if i pay rent), and i want somthing to drive daily, that spools somewhat fast and pulls close to redline on a d16y8, i plan on 170-190whp goal, what should i get?

i can get a 14b for 80$ local that i was told has very little shaft play, almost none, and he will give a money back gaurentee it works like it should

or i can look for a t3, or t25, or ??

im probly gona get a hf manifold and adapter

the rest of my plans so far is somthin like this:
obd1 conversion harness
junkyard p28 and chip it my self> uberdata> get it tuned somewhere
fmic + piping whatever i can get for cheap
dsm450s probly
dsm bov cause there cheap and good i guess

i used to be on hmt yr or 2 ago, and had a setup for my f22a prelude that never happen and picked up this 96 civic ex and started to look into boosting again cause i cant resist. this civic has 154k but seems to be previously adult owned/not beat, i've yet to do a compression test or anything but will soon.

p.s. "i have read alot of read this before posting""read here noob" but i still cant seem to decide, even though there was alot of good info. also i know my list of stuff is not complete, just a start

I think its better to get a t3 42/48. its fairly common, manifold are more easily attained.

a 14b for 80.00 would work perfect for what you want it to do. Little to no lag and pull to redline on a stock y8. 8psi will get your goals

thanks.

looks like im getting a 14b w/stock wastegate and j-pipe, dsm 450s, dsm bov and pipe for 175 shipped from a state away if i cant scrape up a few more bucks. sound like a straight deal? i figure getting those stock pipes will make it easier for me to rig stuff up with clamps cause i dont know how to weld/ dont have access, i know im still gona need stuff welded tho
