yeah most people here pretend to be helpful and all they do is bullshit around and make fun of people. In order to avoid this, the best thing you can do is READ. Search the forum. Look into the turbo projects section. Get some ideas about how you want to rig things up. Then search for more info on those ideas. Look into manifold setup, fuel delivery, engine control, IC mounting points, turbo sizes and applications.

There is a myriad of information at your fingertips on this forum. Most of it will NOT come from replies to your post. Believe it or not, someone has probably asked your questions already .... atleast 3 times. No disrespect, but doing your homework should help you to avoid "helpful comment" and also let you in on the knowledge your after.

You'll get help when you ask specific questions (which would indicate thought and possibly reading/research on your part).

If you say "Tell me what I need to do to boost my car" then you're going to get shitty replies.

That's just how it is...

lol aight, i wasnt just asking a question without searching up on it,
im still learning about how a boost setup works.. someone correct me if im wrong,

to run a stable 6psi setup, can i get away with using
turbo
manifold
piping
blow off valve
oil line
boost gauge
hose clamping and stuff
some kind of modification to the memcal (ecu)

so my real question is, could i get away with running that boost with that setup, is there anything else i require and is a ecu modification actually required?

cheers

cheers man,

with the exhust are you talking about custom headers?

my exhust system is a 2.5"

whats involved in fitting the downpipe?
say an extension pipe inbetween my headers and my cat converter?

as for FMU ill look into it, the reason i say remapping the ecu is because i have all the materials to do it, (eprom reprogrammer, memcal, and all the required tools/roms required)

once again thanks for all the help

ok you can definatly run a trubo with that setup but it will take some serious piping to connect both exaust manis to the turbo. I would also recomend a delete cat pipe and a lager fuel pump along with your fmu, maybe a walbro 255lph. this is definatly a dooable setup its just going to take a lot of research on your end.

cheers mate

Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. It works wonders for those who are uneducated about the ways of boost.
