Default Has anyone here road raced w/ a turbo before?

I did a homemade turbo set up about a year ago, and I'm going to do another one soon here...but I've gotten into road racing, and wondering if anyone here road races w/ a turbo car...mainly wondering about honda's, but others as well. I haven't seen too many turbo honda's at the tracks, but there's been a couple, but it seems common to see factory turbo'd cars there (eclipses, 240's w/ sr20s). Anyways, I'm wondering if you had any problems? The only time my car hit the track turbo'd was on lunch laps, about 30 mins long, and i wasn't pushing TOO hard. I think just as long as you run a safe tune the car would be fine...maybe invest in an oil cooler too? anyways, tell me what you got.

I'll be doing it this summer... a buddy of mine was running a boosted D16z6 Hatch road racing last summer, everything went pretty well. just had the boost set down to a more respectable level.

Yea, that's what I'm thinking, richen it up a little and what not. A buddy took his rex out w/ the greddy kit on there, only fuel mods were a walbro pump...I have no idea how the ---- it survived, but it did. I'm just afriad of my stock rods, but I guess as long as the power is under 200 it'll be fine. For those of you who haven't seen d series rods, let me enlighten you with this comparison:

Yes, that's a sharpee pen. And if the pics are too big, feel free to bitch slap me.

well.....i COULD, but then I'd have to launch the program, resize the ----, save it again, and THEN upload it again.

I'll give you your sharpee back in a trade for the non-datalogging zdyne
