Default h23 pistons and rods?springs?

hey fellas, i have been looking at these forums for about 6 months and have finally decided to register after becoming familiar with the HMT process and way of doing things. i have no experience with turbochargers or anything related but i have read about everything you can read on it. i do have experience with building engines n ---- like that.

i own a stock 1992 prelude si that has an h23a1 and a 5 speed. im wanting to go turbo but im having trouble finding a decent set of rods and pistons. (im not paying $700+ for the eagle h23 rods)
im looking for 400+hp(reground cams,p&p,oversized valves)

do you guys know of any h23 rods that are cheaper?
anywhere to get a decent set of pistons?
anyone produce a good set of springs for the h23?
has anyone here ever done an h23? what kind of power did they make?

well, i have done a few basic N/A builds, some 5.slow mustangs, and some small block chevy.

the reason why i want to go high hp:
my engine has 193,000miles and needs a rebuild.i dont want to rebuild it and do a light/stock build, then take that out and rebuild it again with stronger rods n so on.

i could try this:
rebuild with forged rods/pistond/arp headstuds/etc.
lightly boost it to prevent damage (5-8psi)
get familiar with tuning(going to chip my ecu)
then get a bigger turbo, build my head, and crank out the power.

with h blocks, if you're gona build, then you have to build for a lot.

parts for h's dont come cheap, especially since they have frm sleeves.

although, you could go with some mahle pistons and any rods you want and get some good numbers.

do more research, do what your wallet or credit cards allow.

h23's are known to handle 400whp+

h23 and f22 rods are the same. so look for f22 forged rods if you can find them
