h22/je pistons/eagle rods
how much boost can i push on a jdm h22a block w/ je 9.0:1 pistons and eagle h-beam rods? fuel manangement is uberdata/550cc/255lph pump. i was thinking of running 12psi daily and 15psi at the track but is that a bit high on the stock sleeves?

somebody answer dammit! ;D

Re:h22/je pistons/eagle rods
i thought you had to sleeve h22s if you were gonna biuld them...but im usually wrong

Re:h22/je pistons/eagle rods
You are right...You need to put new sleeves in.
H-series engine use FRM sleeves.(hope I got it right) It's properties are not suited for forged pistons. |
Re:h22/je pistons/eagle rods
hmmm...scratch that. will i be able to safely run 12psi on stock bottom end with top notch engine management? or is 12 just too much?

Re:h22/je pistons/eagle rods
H22's are once and done detonation motors. It takes very little to snap ringlands. But good fuel management will help you to avoid this problem.
My advise, have some stock pistons laying around and just put a new one in when one goes. |

yo I'm the o.g. khmer mofo on this site >:(
j/k :P Good to see another on the site, if you really are khmer. :P |
Re:h22/je pistons/eagle rods
dam, why does the h22's gotta be so sensitive, im piss now.
|
Re:h22/je pistons/eagle rods
They are just as sensitive as any other honda engine. Cast pistons make them weak. The FRM (fiber re-inforced metal) sleeves are homo and wont work correctly if you put a aftermarket piston in. I say boost the h22 around 10psi perfectly tuned, and have some money in the bank for sleeves/rods/pistons =)

Re:h22/je pistons/eagle rods
or just throw in a F22 or F22+H22 head.
