Hyundai Elantre?I saw some Hyundai at the junk yard the other day(in the parking lot)the guy had bolted in a first gen DSM turbo engine.I didnt ask him if it was a direct drop in but I was impressed!

 

Well, judging by the steering wheel it's a Hyundai. Maybe an Accent?

 

The older Hyundis came with DSM engines factory(up to like 95 I think)they didn't start building there own engines untill recently. I always thought an old hyundi would make an awesome sleeper!

An any Hyundai with time, money, effort put into is a sleeper. People see fixed up hyundais an laugh, untill they spank them.
An yea Mitsu used to make Hyundai motors. The 4G63 is a direct swap in to older Elantras.
The I4 Tiburon is capable of 240WHP on stock internals.
Add some pistons an a standalone or MAP conversion 300whp can be had.
The Elantra is the same (shares same motor as I4 Tib)
The Accent 1.6L can hit over 220whp on stock internals..
The Tiburon I4 (BETA motor) swaps right in the accent.

The new Tib V6 is poop, responds well to bolt ons an N2O, but can't hold forced Induction. A lot of compaines were in the process of making a turbo kit for the V6, but they all backed out after numerous blown parts in the motor.

Well thats enough Hyundai knowledge for the day..
Just wanted to post, an let you know there are other cars out there with a H in front an back that you might wanna look out for

 

I drove a 6-speed, V6 and it sucked ***, I was not going to buy it anyway, so I started asking the sellsman if I put a 100shot on it and it broke would the warrenty cover it ? and What if I just took the nitrous kit off before I brought it in ( when it broke )... I like the car and its look, but the DOHC V6 is a POS, IMO...

 

Yea, like I said the V6 is poop.
It will get around 200WHP with bolt-ones a nice 50-75 shot would be nice.
but everyone who tried to turbo the motor, ---- broke down at 250hp...
The I4 on the other hand is a great motor.
