you have to make sure to get the anti-surge housing on them though....the most common are on the GT42R's

you still need a blow off valve. the only diference between ball bearing turbo's and reg bearing turbo's, is the spool time. But in regards to the blow off valve, yes you still need one. think about it, where is all the air going to go, when you close the t/b. Well is going to go back into the turbo, and past the seals at the same time it stops the turbo from spinning.

with the bov open when tb is closed, the turbo keeps spooling and will give you better boost for the next gear.

how in the hell have you managed to have that many leaky bovs? ive never had one leak.

just go buy yourself a blitz DD, good strong bov wont let you down. Ive used blitz bov's on several setups

ur not boosting 20+psi?

my roommate has a blitz dd n it sounds boring. donald said so n so from roadrace says bov on gt series bb turbo = no need and causes no damage. wether it spins backwards or not, causes compressor surge but thats it, no internal life long damage ever. jus regular wear n tear over time. lets see what happens.

you're either stupid, or have alot more money then me. I wouldnt risk trashing a garrett BB turbo just to "see what happens". It doesnt matter what the turbo is, a BOV will NEVER hurt, it will only help.

no serious. there is no need to run a bov because the bb turbos aren't prone to compressor surge. the the shaft and bb can handle it but at the same time it never hurts and will prolong its life. its just not as big a deal as if the the turbo were not bb.

im not stupid, n maybe i do have more money then you. either way a bov is hurting me in this case. maybe i should jus buy a tial bov? i can't hold consistant boost. its annoying. i watch he gauge jump to 20 drop to 13 jump back to 17 then hold at 15... i dont get it lol. then after like 3 strong pulls, the bov gets stuck or starts leaking cuz then it lags, goes from 7psi to 13 then holds at 14. then in 4th gear its only 10psi til redline, when i kno the wg is set to 20ish cuz b4 i started havin bov issues it held 20psi fine. after i sold that bov for what i thought was a better one is when i started havin problems.
