ive heard that the LS tranny is better cause it has longer gears and you can keep boost longer... but i guess it would depend on what kind of turbo you match it with.

"Use the LS tranny the gear ratios are better for boost.... you want to be able to stay in boost as long as you can with the GSR tranny you will be flying through gears, the LS tranny are longer therefore you will be at your max power for longer period of time" i quote this from someone over at jdmcivic.com

Thats retarded, you want a short geared tranny. When do our cars make power? on the top end, we want to keep the gears short so each time we shift we are still in the power band. The guy who thought "Oh ya if we have a longer geared tranny we will be boosting longer, so it would be faster" is an idiot. Almost all of the fastest hondas in the world 10sec 9sec and 8sec cars are using GSR trannys. Plus longer geared trannys put way more of a load on a engine, which is ----. What if you had a SC61 T4 and a LS tranny, good god.. you'd never see boost until 6 grand, imagne only shifting 3 times. LOL

Maybe I could play it off too.. I could sell my HF Trannys like hotcakes!!! hahaha, nothing like shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear at 93mph.

Short Gears = Better for NA or Boost
