Re: Gready rip off BOV 2 vac lines?? help!
^ wrong.
You do not run a vaccuum source to your wastegate... You can to the top if you want the gurgle, but you'll get boost creep etc... Run as SHORT a hose as u can to your wastegate... pressure only (pre throttle body)
Your external wastegate has TWO ports (it should at least) Your WASTEGATE has a hole on top, and a hole on the bottom w/ banjo bolts/nipples.
Your bov also has two nipples... a top and a bottom...
This is my recomended setup:
From a boost source only (should have a nipple on the compressor side of your turbo) run a hose from your compressor to the bottom of your wastegate.
Now... the top of your wastegate is always sealed... so that when it opens from boost pressure in the bottom @ full boost, the top becomes compressed... hence pressure inside... run a hose from the top of your wastegate to the bottom nipple of the blow off valve.
Now, from a VACCUUM source on the manifold, run a hose to the TOP of your BOV.
If you want, you could instead run a vaccuum source to the top of your wastegate, if you want that gurgle of open dump tube at idle, but i think it sounds nasty.

Did you take out one of the springs?

Re: Gready rip off BOV 2 vac lines?? help!
ok ok ok, so let me get this straight
Top hose = manifold Vac line (same as boost gauge right)
Bottom Hose = Wastegate(do i have to)
im still not %100 sure on where to run the second hose for the BOV, is it ment to be Vaccume/Boost or both
i dont want gurgle at idle as over here we get bent over and fucked up the *** for turboing cars that arnt ment to be turbo'd without a $3000 EPA test
so quiet is good
