i went to a jy once and went through the trouble of pulling a headlight switch wwith the guy saying if you break any bolts your buying the whole dash if you snap or scratch the dash your buying the whole dash if you ---- up the seat your buying the seat on and on and on.. so i finallly got the ****** out and went to my car to test it then i realized it had to be dark to know for sure if the switch works or not.. i got smart tho and took my old switch and left the new switch in my car.. went to the guy asked em how much he said 85 dollars i told em i pulled it my ------- self and it wouldnt have sold anyways he goes 85 dollars.. i tell em dude i dont even know if it would work or not.. then he gets loud with me saying he saw me run and test it on my car.. i try to explain to him that it only works at night and it has to be dark out to know for sure he's like if you dont want the part set it down on the counter.. so i did..
funny thing is i had found 20 bucks in the car and was coming to give em to him and i would have snatched up the part for up to 30 bucks EVEN THO i pulled it.. but i said ---- it.. kept the 20.. kept the part... gave em back my old part..
one of the few and rare times that buk is happy... got home tossed it in closed my ddash and said ---- IT.. later on that night went out to my car turned it on and everythig worked fine
now... ~8 months later its starting to act up... so idk i might pay that jy another visit very soon

Yup that sucks Buck. where I work we charge $10 bucks for a headlight switch. and everything has a 30 day exchange warrenty. And as far as tearing stuff up who really cares if your in the upull business and you care about every little part you won't make any money at all.
Like last week a guy needed a track for his sunroof. we charge 50 for the whole assembly but I gave him just the track for ten. Now that sunroof is ruined but so what chances are none would come in and be looking for that one part on that particular car anyway in the next 30 days.
:1 if I tried to charge 85 buck for a switch I'd get attacked by about 20 Mexican's with the quickness.
