Clean the housing, it should be by the inlet. BTW no such thing as a 48/63 :P

I know on my Nissan T3 it's about 3/4" a bellow the Inlet FLange of the Turbine housing and on the Center section side.

I have a pic somewhere if you really need it.

my .60/.63 had the stamp about 1/2" inside the intlet of the exhaust housing where the manifold connects

ok well i just bought this turbo that was supposed to be a 60/48, but the id is grinded down. i will get some pics.

its off a nissan, and it is a Garrett. and the exhaust side is stamped .63 toward the inlet on the inside facing the compressor side.

oh yeah i meant 42/63 also. my bad.

^ if i were gonna use an external wastegate, would i still need the piece on the hot side that bolts onto the end. or can i just bolt up a flanged dp right upto the exhaust side in the last pic in the above post.

just bolt the flange right up to it, get a flange that blocks off the internal wg hole

Same turbo as mine, but mine is brand new almost. It a .60/.63 actuaaly.

I am in the process of drawing up a Block off/ DP Flange for weir and he is going tomachine it. I m gonna use an Audi External. BlaastPerformance also carries them.
