Default got a junkyard air to water intercooler, had an idea

i got a lesberu air to water intercooler (not sure if im gona use it or not) and i was thinking about what i could use for fluid, somthing already in the car maybe, then i thought ---- i can pipe the fuel line through it, gas always feels cold, then i thought wait it will be hot then when it gets to the injectors, what if i tee it off and make its own return after the rail, or just its own pump from the tank and keep it totally seperate?

this a bad idea? would it warm the fuel in the tank up too much? im sure it would if there was only a gallon or 3 but if its half full or more i think it could work. bad idea? done before?

i also thought about re-routed power steering pump to recirculate another type of fluid but im not sure what could lube the pump and exhange heat good

So you want to run a fuel line up to your front bumper.
Fender bender=Fire ball
Bad idea, especially if you puncture it and the car is still running, it will continue to dump fuel all over the place.

The only reason fuel would work better is due to it's evaporative properties, but since that means hazardous fumes, and you are making it closed loop, I would stick to something significantly less volatile.

didnt say it would be up front, it would be left of the motor, where theres already fuel lines, why put extra radiators and water containers when theres a huge container or cool liquid already in back, thats how i thought of it at least.. just an idea anyways i probly wont use it, dont know yet

A hot windscreen wash is probably a hell of a lot better than the normal cold one.

i was thinking about cutting the top off an ef radiator and and welding it shut and using it as a super cheap hmt intercooler.

Well if you are deciding on fluids check this out http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/sp...ids-d_151.html If you look at fresh water its heat capacity is 1 and most are under that (with the exception of ammonia) Gasoline is only .53 which I believe means you'd have to pump 47% more fuel in the same amount of time just to keep up with a water based system

Check out how adding salt drops waters ability to cool to .94, the same thing happens when people dump hella antifreeze in their cooling system which prolly puts it at .8 or less even
