Re:Got brave today
When I had my b16 oil came out of the fitting with the drain line off. I had the fitting up as high as possible too.

Re:Got brave today
maybe u had too much oil in thar :P
liquids ALWAYS find the same level. so it will back up oil to the level of the oil in the pan. |

So how exactly did you guys fix your probs?
sounds like you may have the same problem. -how old is ur tubo??? |
Re:Got brave today
i have a d15 but no oil comes out of the fitting.. i think i need to figure out a new route for my oil return line, i think its developed a crimp in it and is causing the car to smoke

Re:Got brave today
my return line is just as high as urs, and oil comes out of my fitting....on a 1st gen b16. those motors take 10 quarts of oil right :P
-how old is ur tubo??? please tell me you are kidding about the 10 qts thing ::) |
Re:Got brave today
I've always had oil com back out of the fitting in the pan when I've taken the drain off...and it looks almost exactly like the picture there. I have NEVER had my turbo leak ANY oil at all..you could eat off it!! Keep in mind that the oil level will be lower in the pan when the car is running...as long as you have it as far up on the side as you can you should be fine...another idea...weld up that hole and make theaded one in the block right above the pan...(if that's not too high that is...)
