hmm..does look that way. And not bad but what do i know about welders

Is yours a 90 amp? I basically looking for something i can do my exhaust with and possibly some new charge pipes.
Will this get it done?

Is this the cheapest of the cheapest like OBX?
or somewhere in the middle

I have a couple of welders - a 220V arc ("stick") welder and a 110V Lincoln MIG - the MIG was $600, plus $220 for a 140 cf. ft. Argon tank. When I get the dough, I'm going to put a high frequency box and a TIG torch to the arc welder to make a TIG setup to do aluminum.

That's overkill for what you need - yes, the welder you are looking at would be good for basic, thinwalled steel projects like exhaust pipe and charge pipe.

If you really want to look into welding, do what I did and take a class at your local community college - your welding will kick *** at the end of it, and you get to try out every cool machine known to man.

SO the original one I posted would be good?
I read in another post that for doing an exhaust I would need a low setting around 40 so i wouldn't burn through the pipes
i'm looking at this one now cause the auction ended on the other one...
