newbie here too :S

I got the same engine and I'm looking for a turbo from a production car that will meet my requirements?

Engine: H22a (stock internals)
Chassis: Prelude 4th gen
Max revs: 7500rpm

Power goal: 270-300hp (don't require silly hp numbers)
Pressure: 6-7psi

I just do not know which turbo (from a production car) to look for. :-(

Even if you did get a turbo that hit 300hp at 6-7 psi, you'd probably be bouncing off the surge line due to the sheer cfm flow. A lower cfm turbo with a slightly higher boost pressure would be more driver-friendly. At the very least make sure it has a .63 a/r hot side. Check out my post on turbo101, 102, and 103...it tells you exactly how to figure out what's the best size turbo for your application.

as you know, i'm quite new at this :-(

I had a look at the FAQ section but the list of turbos there seem to be running at 15-20psi. I only want a mild increase in power (240-270hp @ 6-7psi ; if 300hp is not achievable safely on a 6-7psi of boost).

I also do not know from which production car I should take a turbo from (once I've found the right turbo for my application).

Sorry if it's a noob question, but the calculations are quite daunting at first glance. I will research on this more, but please answer the above for the meantime. Thanks!

just to be clear, I only want to run relatively low boost pressure (8psi MAX) because I have no plans on building the engine internally just yet (have heard 6-8psi is the safe boost level a stock H22a can take), I will have a spare engine for that later on.
