Have him send you a pic of the tag on the CHRA. Some where there had better be something on that turbo that says Garrett or AirResearch. On the Garretts we sell, it has Garrett on the Compressor jousing, the center section tag, and AiResearch on the Hot Side Housing. From the pictures supplied, I didn't see anything on that turbo that says its a Garrett.

It might be that Garrett did not put the same markings on turbos built for Saab. I'd still get some pics of a tag or casting mark somewhere that says either Garrett / AiResearch or Saab. Even then, it may be only the tag that's genuine.
